The Royal Cheshire County Show, one of the UK’s largest agricultural shows, is thrilled to unveil its delectable line-up for the 2024 show on the 18th and 19th of June 2024. This year’s event promises a culinary adventure for all, showcasing the finest local produce, talented chefs, including Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, winner of BBC MasterChef 2012 Shelina Permaloo, and Coronation Street's favourite Maria, Samia Longchambon, as well as interactive food experiences.
A highlight of the show will be the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre, a vibrant hub buzzing with activity throughout the day. Visitors can watch culinary masters whip up delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients. Hosted once again by Cheshire Show supporter and good friend Brian Mellor. Brian will be introducing and assisting all our talented chefs onto stage, along with showing us his own culinary skills and passion for local produce.
We are thrilled to announce the return of a true crowd-pleaser to the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre on Tuesday the 18th of June, Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli! Joining him will be Samia Longchambon, Coronation Street's beloved Maria, who teamed up with Jean-Christophe to win ITV's "Cooking with the Stars" in 2023. This dynamic duo will be gracing the stage, not only by recreating some of their favourite recipes from the show but also by engaging in a Q&A session spilling the beans on all things "Cooking & Corrie." This is an event not to be missed!
New to the show this year is the talented Shelina Permaloo. Appearing on Wednesday, Shelina will be showcasing her passion and skill inspired by her Mauritian roots with a take on modern Mauritian street food. A winner of BBC's MasterChef in 2012, Shelina has become a regular judge on the show and a familiar face on TV, appearing on programmes like This Morning, Sunday Brunch, Lorraine, and Saturday Kitchen.
The impressive line-up of chefs also includes:
- Tom Ince – Head Chef at The Refuge in Manchester
- Sean Noonan – (ex-Cottons Hotel, Knutsford) and now Head Chef at Mitton Hall Hotel.
- Jake Boyce – Head Chef at Groobarbs Field Kitchen
- Woody Barlow – Bear Inns with his Head Chefs Krystian and Richard from The Swan Tarporley & The Lion Malpas showcasing some tasty food and wine pairings.
