Pets at Home and Clare Balding, both well-known names in the UK dog community, have joined forces to encourage dog owners to keep their dogs healthy and active this winter. The Winter Walkies event will take place at Tatton Park in Knutsford on Friday 27th October, with dog owners invited to take part in a 45-minute walk led by Clare Balding herself. The event aims to raise awareness of overweight dogs in the UK and provide expert advice from Vets for Pets and Pets at Home colleagues.
Free family entertainment
The event will also feature complimentary refreshments, free face painting for children, and branded goody bags, as well as live music. Clare Balding, broadcaster and author, said, "When you have a dog, you really will do anything to make sure they stay healthy and get the exercise they need, no matter the weather. Whatever the season, it's always worth taking your dog for a walk to keep them happy and boost our own mood, as well as getting our daily steps in. So come and join me with your dogs in Tatton Park, and we can all wag our tails together."
The inaugural Winter Walkies event is free to attend, but an entry ticket to Tatton Park will be required. These can be purchased in advance for a discounted rate or at the gate on the day. For more information and to register for your ticket, please visit the Pets at Home website.
