These luxurious, en-suite glamping pods are based in a peaceful location on a working farm in South Cheshire on the Shropshire/Wales borders with unspoilt views of Malpas (1 mile away).

The fully heated pods are all furnished to a high standard with bed linen, towels & welcome pack provided. Each has a double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette with sink, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine & table & chairs. There is a TV, hair dryer, crockery, cutlery & other kitchen essentials. The pods all have a private patio area with BBQ and table & chairs.

There is a fire pit area set amongst the wildflower meadow, this is a communal area during the day but can be booked for private use during the evening.

Capesthorne Caravan Park

Macclesfield, East Cheshire

This picturesque and tranquil caravan park is located in the grounds of a magnificent stately home. With idyllic woodland walks and formal lakeside gardens, Capesthorne is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all.

Capesthorne Hall is situated on the edge of the Peak District national park, close to Alderley Edge, which is shrouded by legends and history. The market towns of Congleton, Macclesfield and Knutsford are only a short distance away, as are local attractions such as Jodrell Bank and Tatton Park. The site has 50 pitches all with electric hook up, 30 of which have hard standing.  A modern, Eco-friendly shower block has disabled facilities and a laundry room.

Tipsy Tree Glamping at Snape Bank Farm

Crewe, East Cheshire

This lovely little place is located within walking distance of a thatched black and white pub that that the Snape Bank Farm owners say is an absolute must.

Peace and quiet reigns at this off-grid, secluded and rural site, on a small working farm with beef suckler cows and rare breed sheep (and hens; farm eggs are available for your traditional English breakfast). This is a land of serene countryside walks and spectacular sunsets, teeny old-fashioned Cheshire villages, and family days out to keep kids occupied for weeks: Alton Towers is less than an hour's drive away. The yurt for hire is in a secluded suntrap on the farm, and comes with its own bathroom facility with shower and composting toilet. It's equipped too with a camp-style kitchen cooker, cutlery and crockery for four persons, pots pans and a kettle, plus bedding for the double bed. Snape Bank is within simple strolling distance of the old village of Barthomley and the White Lion pub; the White Lion of Weston is within walking distance in the other direction. Further afield, Crewe is five miles away and Chester is within an hour's drive.

Sunny Side is a very peaceful and quiet place.

In open countryside with fantastic scenic routes, perfect for walkers and bike riders. There is a canal nearby and a public footpath follows alongside. The lovely, little friendly village of Audlem is 1.8m away with restaurants, pubs and local shops. Two of the pubs overlook the canal. The market town of Nantwich is only 3.4m away with fantastic restaurants, cocktail bars and friendly pubs.

Broadleaf Forest Adventures

Congleton, East Cheshire

Broadleaf Forest Adventures is a peaceful spot in rural Cheshire where you can drift away to a time before email, smartphones and electric light. This off-grid site is a proper walkers' paradise – set in an untouched woodland where there's plenty of scope for roaming, Broadleaf Forest Adventures is also a mere 20-minute drive from the edge of the Peak District National Park.

Having packed a tent and a pair of walking boots, you may well be wondering about other items to bring along. Start off with a trusty torch – this off-grid site has no lighting (aside from the stars and any campfires you've built among the trees). Handy hands-free head torches are also available to hire on site; bundles of logs and kindling are also for sale. The friendly staff can also sort you out with a breakfast hamper and are able to accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements.

The Cotton Arms Camping and Touring Site

Nantwich, East Cheshire

Situated in the village of Wrenbury, close to the Llangollen Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal, not far from the English/Welsh border, the Cotton Arms pub has a number of accommodation options. There's a campsite here which welcomes those who want to pitch a tent and those in touring caravans and motorhomes. This area is also suitable for rallies. In addition, there's a caravan site better suited to those wanting to stay longer than a night or two, that's suitable for motorhomes and caravans, especially larger ones.

If you're staying here on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays, there are showers on site, plus there's an electricity point which those who've pitched on the camping and caravanning site can make use of. The pub also has a bowling green, a children's playground with climbing frames and all the usual equipment, plus there's a beer garden, perfect for enjoying a drink outside, when the weather allows. The Cotton Arms also enjoys direct access to the Llangollen Canal, its tow path and moorings, making it a convenient stop-off if you want to walk along the canal.

Macclesfield, East Cheshire

Welltrough Hall Farm is situated just outside the village of Lower Withington in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. The site offers peace and quiet with stunning views overlooking the 270 acre farm and beyond. It is an adult only site with dogs allowed providing they are kept on a lead.

There is a caravan site all with fully serviced pitches as well as 3 glamping pods,(2 with hot tubs) with their own toilets and showers as well as a kitchen and double bed, they also have a shepherds hut which contains a large kitchen area as well as a double bed and its own toilet and shower and also a hot tub..

There is a well stocked information shed which also contains a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Wifi is freely available on site. There is 3 km of mown grass walk around the farm with numerous bins for dog walkers, a free warm dog shower is provided for cleaning those mucky paws when back at the site!
