Astro Night - Kids!

The Lovell Telescope has been looking up and learning about the universe for almost 70 years, and this winter you can too, at Astro Night – Kids!

A stellar evening of fun for families, explore the night sky with the Jodrell Bank team and Macclesfield Astronomical Society – it's the perfect treat for budding young stargazers.

See stars and constellations up close in the Space Dome before heading outside (weather permitting) and using planispheres, binoculars and telescopes to navigate the night sky! Plus, hold a real meteorite, dress up as an astronaut and make your own comet to take home.

These events have been very popular so book early to avoid missing out, and get ready to discover the wonders of the galaxy at Jodrell Bank.

Please note that observing the night sky is weather permitting, and appropriate clothing is recommended.

If weather conditions are poor, alternative activities will be on offer and the event will happen as scheduled.

This event is recommended for families with children aged 7-11.
