Mobberley

If you`ve an avid plane spotter in the family visiting Mobberley is a great way low-cost way to entertain them. They`ll gasp in delight at the roaring low flying jumbo jets coming and going above their heads from Manchester Airport.

The village centre is about a 1 mile walk from the station and has a convenience store, and several pubs.  You might like to do the Mobberley Rail Trail Route which takes you past St Wilfred’s Church with a special window commemorating Everist climber George Mallory. The explorer, whose father had been a rector at the church, sadly died in 1924 whilst attempting the Northeast ridge.

Mobberley Railway Station has won a number of awards in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition.
