A picture book and true story celebrating the life of the world’s oldest horse is to be launched in October as part of Warrington Children’s Lit Fest.

Things are going to be feeling a little bit spooooky around town on the 28th October as the Town Council welcome the Halloween to the town; there will be pumpkins in shop windows, Crafty Crypt in the Grosvenor Centre from Macclesfield Community Artspace and zombie’s in the Market Place!

From a Roman Soldier to an Edwardian Lady, Chester’s Visitor Information Centre is home to an exciting range of walking tours. Uncover almost 2000 years of history by venturing out with a tour guide. 

We were so lucky to be invited to spend the day at Cheshire’s family favourite festival, Deva Fest, based at Cholmondeley Castle just outside of Chester. Jam-packed with amazing music, comedy acts, food, drink and kids’ entertainment – it’s fair to say we had an absolute blast!

The Sustainable Cheshire Festival is on in Grosvenor Park, Chester on Saturday, 23^rd September 10.30am - 8pm.

Chester Zoo has announced details of a free family festival, set to return in September.

A new special exhibition ‘Remembering Bosnia, 30 years on’ has been launched at Cheshire Military Museum in Chester. It looks back at the 1st Battalion the Cheshire Regiment’s deployment to Bosnia as part of a UN force in 1992 -93. The Cheshire’s were the first British Battalion to deploy armoured vehicles in the region, experiencing the horrors of a civil war, helping the civilian population and protecting convoys of essential life-saving supplies.

Walkers around Chester City Walls will be able to venture into King Charles' Tower, a rare opportunity, during the weekends 9th and 10th, 16th and 17th September, between 10.30am and 4pm. This is the first year King Charles' Tower has opened under a Royal King of the same name and all Royal visitors are very welcome!

Following a successful 2022 Nantwich Food Festival, the Festival organisers have excelled themselves. The organisers thank Nantwich Town Council and Cheshire East Council for their ongoing support that has been crucial to the Festival’s continued success. These thanks are extended to all the local sponsors, without whom, the Festival would not take place.

The stunning 6,000-acre estate, in Tattenhall near Chester and Wrexham, will host AXFest over three days from September 15.
