One of the UK’s biggest country music duos will be gracing Parr Hall’s stage as part of an intimate acoustic tour in 2025.
Acclaimed singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes – better known as The Shires – will visit Warrington on Friday, 16 May, to perform all their greatest hits and live favourites.
The Shires first broke through a decade ago in 2014 with their single, Nashville Grey Skies, a playful song about Britain needing its own country scene.
And that’s something they have helped pave the way for, starting with their 2015 debut record Brave, which became the first top 10 album by a UK country music artist.
That success continued with a succession of hit albums including 2016’s My Universe, 2018’s Accidentally On Purpose, 2020’s Good Years and 2022’s 10 Year Plan.
The Shires’ unwavering commitment to country music has also seen them embraced by the Nashville scene they were so inspired by.
Over the years, this has led to two CMA (Country Music Association) Awards and a host of touring highlights including sharing a stage with Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and The Corrs, and being invited to perform at C2C: Country to Country festival.
Ben and Crissie’s wider achievements speak for themselves with three consecutive UK top-three albums, four number one UK Country albums, more than 100 million streams, two Gold-certified records, and countless sold-out headline shows, including filling the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
The Shires’ The Two of Us tour comes to Parr Hall on Friday, 16 May. Tickets are on sale now. Call Box Office on 01925 442345 or visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org/whats-on/the-shires
