Heritage Open Days is a national festival celebrating the best of England's history, heritage and culture. It is England's largest festival of it's kind and brings together over 2500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers across the whole country.
Every year in September (9th - 18th September 2022) places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community, and history. This is your chance to see the hidden places of Chester and Cheshire, explore the counties' history and heritage, try out new experiences – and the best thing is it is all FREE.
