The hamlet of Ashley might only have a couple of hundred residents, but it still has one pub The GreyHound which, true to its name, has a dog friendly room. Why not try walking there from Hale Station on the Hale to Ashley Rail Route and then reward yourself with a pub lunch.
If you go for a stroll in the north of the village look out for the 16th century Ashley Hall, which has been used as a backdrop in several TV productions including Chanel 4s No Offence and CBBC`s Return of Tracey Beaker.
