This thriving South Manchester town has a fantastic selection of high street and independent retailers and a very popular artisan market and food hall. The ice rink next to the station makes for a fun family day out or a great place for teens to hang out with their friends-and being so close to the station means they can get there independently.
There`s also a flourishing arts community and several galleries in the town along with a large library which holds regular events for children and preschoolers.
The many late opening bars make for a fun evening out although you can also hop on the metro link from the Interchange to reach central Manchester. There`s buses running from here to neighbouring towns and the nearby National Trust property Dunham Massey. Its also possible to walk to this stunning stately home and gardens, an interesting amble which will take you through the historic Denzel Gardens and the Devisdale.
The Friends of Altrincham Interchange (FOAI) is a local voluntary group committed to facilitating and helping to deliver improvements to Altrincham Interchange.
