During the period of national mourning following the death of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, there are a number of ways to leave messages of condolence across the county both in person and online.
The Council's condolence books are available to sign during regular office opening hours. These can be found at the following locations:
Other books of condolence may be opened by town and parish councils and local religious places.
The books will be bound and kept in the borough’s archive as a record of the sentiments expressed by local people on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Flowers can be placed outside:
Anyone wishing to leave flowers is asked to remove any plastic wrapping before laying their floral tribute.
If you would like to leave a personal message, share a memory, or pay tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, you can do so via Cheshire East Council's online book of condolence
Knutsford Town Council has opened up a book of condolence in its offices and is inviting the local community to leave their messages. The room will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
You can post messages of condolence in a number of condolence books, which will be available at council offices in Sandbach, Macclesfield and Crewe and in Cheshire East's public libraries, as well as on the council website.
Warrington's Town Hall will be open every day, from 9.30am to 4pm, for people to attend to leave a message of condolence.
Members of the public are asked to use the West driveway and entrance to the Town Hall (the side closest to Bank Park) to enter, and exit via the reception area to the East. Stewards will be onsite to direct and support
Flowers without plastic wrapping can be laid on the Town Hall lawn. Residents are asked not to place flowers at the foot of the Golden Gates.
