Multi award-winning contemporary folk artists JACKIE OATES and JOHN SPIERS meld their shared love of English traditional folk tunes and songs with their fine voices and expertly played acoustic instruments.
Having toured their first album, 'Needle Pin, Needle' Pin since its release in 2020, Jackie and John also delighted audiences with their seasonal Christmas show last year, to critical acclaim both from within and beyond the folk world.
SoundBox is extremely pleased to welcome this high-calibre duo back to Chester to perform their unique style of Christmas show. Audiences can look forward to a fresh, uplifting and poignant evening.
"Oates & Spiers left the gaudy, commercialised crass-ness at home ... theirs is a Christmas for all"
