Jackie Kay

Jackie Kay is an internationally-acclaimed Scottish writer of fiction, poetry and plays, who received her CBE for Services to Literature in 2020.

She is currently Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Newcastle, and is much in demand for readings in the UK and internationally, her early drama training having equipped her to be a superb performer of her own work and a very engaging presence.

Her subtle investigation into the complexities of identity have very much been informed by her own life.
