Calling all Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts…

Discover constellations and comets, learn about the incredible power of radio astronomy and earn your next badge at Astro Night this winter! Book as a group for an adventure that's out of this world – reduced rates available for leaders.

Starting in either the First Light Pavilion or the Space Pavilion, leaders from each Uniformed Group will be given an itinerary of astronomical activities and talks, including time to step outside and navigate the night sky using planispheres, telescopes and binoculars (weather permitting).

Travelling around the site, children will take part in activities to work towards their Astronomy or Space badges, and will hear from Jodrell Bank's Explainer team, revealing the secrets of the skies and Jodrell Bank's crucial role in mapping the universe.

A great opportunity for curious young explorers, this is an exclusive evening for members of recognised uniformed groups and their leaders, book your trip to the stars now!

Recommended for children aged 7-14.

Every child MUST be part of a uniformed group and accompanied by a group leader at all times.

Please ensure you have the following ratio of leaders to children:

Ages 7-11, 1:7
Ages 11-14, 1:10
Warm clothes and sturdy shoes are required. If weather conditions are poor alternative activities will be held and the event will go ahead as scheduled.
