2566 reviewsNestled between the vibrant city of Manchester and the beginnings of rural Cheshire, Dunham Massey includes a 300-acre deer park, a historic house and buildings, and all-season gardens.
Outdoors, accessible paths pass roaming fallow deer and ancient trees in the parkland, while the extensive gardens reveal the sights and scents of the seasons. The Georgian house and moat offers a beautiful backdrop to the formal gardens, a favourite spot for picnickers. Enjoy a free tour of the deer park, gardens or mill - delivered by Dunham’s dedicated volunteers and dependant on their availability.
Indoors, ornate rooms and servant’s quarters hold a collection that spans the history of the house, while the water-powered mill and other historic buildings add further context that beckons you into the past. When the need for a break calls, enjoy a satisfying lunch in the historic Stables Restaurant, or pick up a lighter bite in the airy café.
Dogs are welcome outdoors across the site on a short lead, in the gardens from midday only.
Trails, events and seasonal happenings are frequent, as is the tendency to return to this much-loved place.
Park and Gardens ticket includes entry to the gardens, deer park, car park, cafe, shop, restaurant and facilities.
House and Servant Courtyard tickets are purchased in addition to Park and Gardens tickets and cannot be purchased separately.
